Well, Im 15 weeks along and I'm told that our little jelly bean is about the size of a soft ball now!! that is so freakin big!! to most people my belly still looks pretty flat but things they are a changing. At night I feel the biggest and totally see my belly popping out. I feel full all the time and cant eat very large portions. I dont have any strange craving yet, I'm sure that will be changing pretty soon.
We've decided that jelly bean is going to be born at home not at a hospital.I have a few clients and friends that have recently gone the home route and totally swear by it. So we've been doing a ton of research and interviewed with a few different midwives and doulas. I think we've finally settled on the ones we are going to hire and feel most comfortable with. I never thought that I would want to have our baby anywhere but in a hospital but after studying up on it home birth just makes way more sense for us, it's safer and way more relaxing then a rushed hospital birth. Plus I think the farther I am from the options of drugs the less likely I'll use them.
So assuming Me and the baby stay low risk we will be setting up a pool in our dinning room and having our baby the old fashion way!
In other baby news, we will hopefully be finding out Jelly beans gender next thursday! ahhh Im so siked. I've been dying to know. Jesse is so sure it's a boy that he has me convinced it is too. I think it's a girl but jesse has me second guessing it now. I've been told ever wives tale in the book. It's crazy what some people believe. I thought it would be fun to post some for you.
- If you're carrying low, you're having a boy. If you are carrying high, then you must be having a girl. (right now, I think it's to early to tell but I think Im high=girl)
- take a sample of your urine and mix it with Drano. Depending on the color change of your urine, you will have a boy or a girl. Unfortunately, there is no consensus on what color equals which sex. So, if you do decided to try this and your urine turns bluish yellow, brownish, brown, black or blue you will be having a boy. If your urine looks more greenish brown, green, blue or doesn't change at all, then you're having a girl. (I dont have drano and this one seems dangerous)
- If you can't get enough chocolate, you could be having a girl. If your craving salty or sour things it's a boy!! (boy)
- if your husband puts on weight during your pregnancy, then you will be having a girl. If he doesn't put on a pound, then you're carrying a boy. ( no weight at all=boy)
- If the right breast is larger, you're having a boy! A larger left breast indicates a girl. (girl)
- suspending a ring on a string above your belly. If it swings back and forth, you're having a boy. If it is more of a circular motion, then it's a girl. (boy)
- Ask yourself what you think you're having. In a study that asked women with no previous knowledge about their baby's sex, the moms-to-be correctly guessed the sex of their baby 71% of the time. (girl)
- Legend has it that the Mayans determined a baby's sex by looking at the mother's age at conception and the year of conception. If both are even or odd, it's a girl. If one's even and one's odd, it's a boy. (boy)
- If you're breaking out like crazy, blame it on your girl babe. The belief goes that girls steal their mother's beauty, hence, those annoying zits. (my back is breaking out!!! girl)
- Sick as a dog during the first trimester -- or still? Signs indicate you're having a girl. Little or no morning sickness points to a boy. (girl)
- if you crave the heels of bread, you will have a boy; if you like the middle, a girl is on the way. (girl)
- And the over the counter, ridiculous pee in a cup gender test from target says..... we are having a boy.
So that gives us 5 boys and 6 girls. Moms are always right, right? looks like we are having a girl!! haha well, we will know for sure soon.

Ehh, finally I made it to the beach. We've been planning on going for awhile now but every time I end up getting sick and my beach day kept getting postponed. Last time we went was about three months ago. Right after we found out I was pregnant. I was so craving the sun, water and sand. We had an amazing little family day. We totally lucked out too. It was raining the whole drive over and it seemed like we found the only sunny patch of beach. Nothing better then having a completely open day with no plans and lots of laying around.
XOXO

well this week was a first for me. I have always sworn that I would never ever tattoo the Sailor Jerry aloha monkey. I dont know when I made this promise to my self but i've been tattooing for 71/2 yrs. 4 of those yrs. in hawaii and I've gotten away with out doing it. Well it looks like I'm a promise breaker. My friend Nicolle and her bf Jon were here visiting and guess what they wanted!! err...I totally caved in and it wasn't that bad at all. It was however my first time tattooing a butthole and monkey balls.
I hope you enjoy the photos
now i'll probably end up tattooing that monkey all the time. all in all, it was good fun. i was really happy to catch up with Nicolle and Jon. they are great people I only wish we lived closer.
Nicolle is actually an amazing photographer.
check out her web site www.nicolleclemetson.com/

Well, like I said, Jesse's mom is here and we got the pleasure of having dinner with her tonight. We went to one of my favorite restaurants the Veranda at Mona Surfrider. it's in that big white hotel in Waikiki that looks more like a South Carolina plantation then a hotel. the restaurant is in the back court yard all around this beautiful wrap around deck that over looks the ocean and a huge banyon tree. totally breath taking.
Actually my first time meeting Jesse's mom was at the same place and now it's kinda a tradition that we go there when ever she is here.
There is something that happens that the older I get the more important family is to me. I grew up one of two kids in my entire family. Both my aunts never had any kids and my distance aunts were so distant that I didn't know them. It was a very small family. I have always wanted a big family. I was so lucky that Jesse comes from a huge family! Being part mexican his dad had like 7 or 8 siblings! That's just his dad's side. So now I have a huge family like I always wanted.
That being said dinner was amazing, good conversation, lots of talk about baby stuff, good stories about Jesse as a baby, good company. Jesse's mom makes up these cute nick names for everyone and she has named our baby Jelly bean!! I love it! so so cute. I came close to tearing up every time she said it.

I dyed my hair back to dark brown.( dont worry it's with baby safe hair dyed no chemicals) I pretty much change my hair the most but I always end back up with dark hair. I'm gonna re-add the pink as soon as it's safe to bleach my hair again. I feel like its a nice change. The red was way way to much up keep. what do you think?
on another note, I want to be this photographer genius!!

Sunday was amazing. bot me and jesse have the day off so it's our day to do fun stuff. I've been so sick that it's been more mine and the toilets day together, but yesterday my body gave me a break and i was able to enjoy our day off.
We started the day off with church in the morning. it was good to finally be able to go. I missed it a lot. Then we all came back to our place for brunch. I should have gotten pictures of the wonderful omelets the boys made for us but I was to distracted by the our friends Matt and Erin's baby girl Olivia. I adore her. we actually met them while Erin was still prego. Matt was a waiter at our wedding and he and Jesse totally hit it off. We've all become amazing friends. I feel like I'm watching little Olivia grow up before our eyes. She is at the cutest stage right now. She is developing her own personality and smiles all the time. We've seen and played with Olivia a lot before but somehow it meant more yesterday. It like really struck me and Jesse that in six months that's going to be us!! I think Jesse must have told me about six times after they left that he wanted our baby now. It's so hard to wait!!
After they took off Jess and I took our other baby girl Rosie Roo to the dog park.
I love bringing her there. She might be the smallest dog but she chased like four huge dogs all at once yesterday. She is small but so fast and i love it when she runs full speed. It's so funny watching other dogs even try to catch up to her. She made so good friends and wore her self out for the rest of the night.
this is me and her taking a nap after all the activities
Jesse's mom gets here tonight!! i'm so siked to see her. it's a short business trip but we are just lucky that her work sends her out here in the first place. I'll post some pictures of us later.

So yesterday we had our second baby appointment with our dr.
On our first appointment the dr said that we would have another ultrasound next time we went in. So i was really looking forward to seeing our little monster..(thats what i've been calling it since it loves to make me the sickest!)
well the Ultrasound was a bust. they got me all hyped up for nothing. She said that they want me to come back in a week for the ultrasound. We did instead get to hear our baby's heart beat. it was so loud and strong. she said that was a really goo sign of a health baby. So that was amazing. it made me wanna go out and buy one of those machine so i could listen at home.
I'm still not showing every much but i can feel the baby and other things growing. the baby is about 2 1/2 to 3 inches tall right now. I cant believe how much bigger it's going to get from here on out. I hope my organs have room. The changes that your body goes though when your pregnant is so crazy and amazing.
I'm starting to get really anxious to buy things for the baby. I'm guessing that is just part of the nesting stuff that everyone talks about. I just wanna buy everything!! I'm not usually such a shopper but I cant wait to know the gender so i can buy it cute shoes and clothes. I've been trying to find cute little punk rock onesies and tattoo inspired things. But I dont want a bunch of gender neutral baby things so I'm using all my self control and Jesse's better judgement and waiting. I hope it's a girl and jesse is really hoping for a boy. ehhh the wait is killing me.
So, even though I'm not buying anything for our little monster yet I figured that since I'm pretty crafty I would make something sweet for it. Both my Grandma and my Aunt Sandy love to sew, knit and crochet. My mom still has some of the first blankets they made for my and my brother. (ehh I need her to send them to me.) I remember loving these blankets more then any of my other one. My grandma taught me how to knit and crochet when I was ten. So i figured Hey i cant buy our monster anything yet but I can start making its first baby blankie. I went to walmart got a prefect gender neutral baby bluish-lavender colored baby soft yarn and went to it. I forgot how long crocheting takes. I worked on it for close to four hours and I have a blanket that is a closer to a head band then a blanket for now. It's a good thing I have six more months to make this thing.

Yeah!!
I'm still not 100% yet but it's a start. I totally missed out of the 4th of july. We had plans to go visit our friends James and Kristina then go to a church BBQ in waikiki and watch fireworks. Ehh, so much for plans. I was stuck in bed all day.Sick as a dog. Jesse is so good to me he tried making it a special as possible. We ended up watching the fireworks from our roof. It was actually pretty romantic. usually we are down on the beach surrounded by people it was nice to curl up in his arms just the two of us and the sky.
this is baby Micaiah and her daddy Mike
On another outing, Jesse took me shopping a few days ago. He is so sweet he loves picking out stuff for me. I think that it's easy to fall into this kinda yucky sloppy feeling when you dont feel good. It totally was a pick-me-up to go out and buy some pretty girly stuff.
Speaking of girly stuff. I had a total girl date with my friend Danielle today. I hadn't seen her in a few months so I was really excited for today. We went to my favorite cafe at the Contemporary Art Museum. Danielle had never gone and i love to show this place off! It's breath taking, and allot of people dont know about it. I guess it use to be some rich persons mansion and when they passed they turned it into a museum. It's up above the city and the grounds of the museum over look the sky line. With beautiful gardens pools and sculpture all around you feel like your in a different world.
The food at the cafe is super good and they always hire awesome punk rock kids as severs. It's a nice contrast to the super posh atmosphere. I got some yummy grilled cheese and tomato soup and Danielle got a grilled veggie sandwich yummy. Then we shared some pineapple sorbet! what a lunch amazing!
After lunch we went back to my place and caught up for awhile. Danielle is moving to NYC in oct to work for an org. called Models For Christ She was explaining what they do and how they help girls that are struggling with drugs and eating disorders. It sounds totally perfect for her. It makes me sad to say goodbye to another amazing friend but it's such a great opportunity for her.
All in all it was an amazing day ohh except the part were I threw up at lunch hahah, decaf, coffee no go!

People are always asking me if Im doing any cool tattoos lately. It's always hard to explain what Im doing then just to show you guys. so here are a few things i've recently been working on. I hope you like them.
This is a tribute piece on a girl named Holly. Her grandpa had a pear tree. I had a really fun time doing this one. It was my first time tattooing pears
this is a smaller part of a fully sleeve. the art work is by Sylvia Ji. She is one of my all time favorite painters . I cant wait to finish the rest of the sleeve and get healed up pictures of this.
My friend Sarah got these. it's cute portraits of her and her future husband richard. I couldn't think of a cuter couple to tattoo.
I love this one it's kinda a good and evil tattoo.. or my version of one. when it's all done you'll see it better but one of the girls is pretty and alive and the other will be all zombiefide. in the center is a clock kinda saying "times up sucka" I'll post more photos of it when it's done.
