Wow, can you believe it!?!?! I cant.
it's been a really long time since I've done a pregnancy up date. I apologize, things have been hectic out here. I totally have a new found respect for people who find time to post everyday. I'm lucky if i can find the time once a week.
So here i am at 37 weeks!
still rocking the heels hehe.. jesse hates these shoes, but i love them.
UHH! seriously 3 maybe 4 more weeks left.....it seems like nothing compared to how far i've come but this time is just not moving. I'm out of work now so i thing that has a lot to do with it. I thought being out of work was going to be amazing. I would have all this free time to craft and paint and sew, but instead i'm ordered by my doctor, by jesse, by my roommate, by jesse's mom everyone! to nap and rest. ehh i'm not a naper! It super hard for me to sleep at night as is and if i nap mid day im up all night. But i try. when i'm not napping i do chores. plus it's been raining nonstop here so jesse has had the car which mean i'm stuck at home. ohh the woes of a pregnant woman. I'M A SHUT IN!!! I'M JUST AN OVEN COOKING THIS BABY.
sometimes that seriously all i feel like, an oven. My body is not my own anymore, it's a hotel for my little girl well i think my body is going to evict her soon.
honestly, I have had it pretty easy. the first 4 months were hell. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy but then it was pretty smooth sailing. A few minor uncomfortable instances, but all in all normal pregnancy issues. Again being honest i'm not one of those women who will ever say i love being pregnant. NO WAY!! that is so not me. i can separate what a blessing my child is going to be and how much i love her from how much i dislike being pregnant.
so changes in me
total wieght gain, so far im at 33 lbs. not to bad. I would have like to keep it around 35 total gain in the end but it looks like i might go over that. I am starting to feel really fat though. i see it in my face and arms now. it's pretty hard to deal with but at least i only have a few more weeks and then i can start losing it.
Stretch marks? So far so good!! i'm keeping my fingers crossed. hopefully i wont get any. I dont know about my tattoos though they are stretched to high hell. we will see if they go back to normal.
Belly button Innie or outie? it pretty much flatten out and has a weird lip at the top of it. i'm not sure if i would call it an outtie but jesse does
Sleep? ehh, as i touched on before sleep is pretty rough. I'm not overly tired during the day at all. But i'm surprised because i hardly get any sleep. i'm up every hour to use the bathroom. It was easy fall right back asleep but now i find my self just staring at the celling waiting for my blatter to explode again.
aches and pains? Normal pregnancy things, my feet hurt, and my pelvis is stretching so that is causing some serious pain anytime i put weight on my right side.
other then that I'm just ready to meet my little girl! to see her face and stare into her prefect eyes. to look at her features and figure out wether she got them from me or jesse.
please come soon baby girl.

Christmas is absolutely positively my favorite time of the year. I not sure what it is about it, maybe the beautiful twinkling lights and decorations everywhere, the smell of cinnamon and brown sugar candles burning, maybe the white snow...hahah yeah right not in hawaii.... Maybe it's because we are taking time out to celebrate Jesus birthday. I know it's not about that for a lot of people but it is for my family. I think it's a combination of all those things plus a lot more.
I just love the over all feeling of the holiday. I think this started very early in life for me. not because of all the presents but because my Mom went over board on making this time of the year memorable. She went crazy on decorations, parties, presents, family and telling us about God. As soon as thanksgiving was over the decorations came out. She would make it so much fun to set everything up and enjoy the time together. finally after a days hard work she would make hot tea or hot cocoa and we would just sit as a family all lights but the christmas lights turned off and christmas music in the background and just enjoy the sights silently together.
as a kid i would always sleep under the christmas tree that first night we set it up. I dont know how that tradition started. i think i just wanted to stare at all the blinking lights and they would hypnotize me to sleep. I tried to get jesse to try it this year with me. It didn't work out to well. our tree is set up on hard flooring. can you imagine a six foot man and a nine month pregnant lady laying under a tree gazing up at the lights??? hahah totally priceless.

well, i'm finally way to big to tattoo any more. my big old bely just doesn't allow me to get close enough to my clients. It's kinda bitter sweet I'm looking forward to the time off but I love my job, my bosses and my clients so to say good bye to them for a few months is kinda hard.
Luckily for me I had a very special and meaningful final tattoo to do. My mother in law came to surprise me for our baby shower and while she was here she wanted me to tattoo Jovi Love on her arm. ( i thought i would be the first to get her name tattooed on me hehe) We kept telling her she should have gotten it written across her knuckles instead, it would have been so tough. but she went with the arm and i'm quite happy with it.

I have the most amazing friends in the world. I know a lot of people say that, but over and over again my friends knock me over with their kindness. I had two baby showers one was in NJ in oct. I'm originally from NJ and still have a bunch of friends and family out there. They all got together and surprised me with not only a baby shower but the airfare to get out there. My bestie traci threw everything together and it was such a perfect trip. My mom and dad got to see me pregnant, which was a dream come true. (it's not easy living so far away from family) I was blown away by how many people came out and by all the amazing food. i'm a sucker for good vegan food and believe me i left that night stuffed to the max.
here are some long over do photos from my trip
me and my mom
that's right we did a pyramid!!
my daddy and my aunt sandy
my twin brother, joel
So like I said I have the most amazing friends so of coarse there needed to be another shower out here in Hawaii as to not leave anyone out. Plus, Jesse likes to be involved in baby things too so we had two baby showers. My second one was a few weeks ago at my friend kristian's house. once again I was blown away by the thoughtfulness and kindness of my friends. It was just a fun chill day hangin out by the pool talking story and playing a few games. I'm not much of a silly traditional baby shower games kinda girl, so i was kinda freaked out when kristina handed me a warm diaper with a melted candy bar smeared inside it, but it got tons of laughs and actually tasted pretty good. our friend Rob freaked out and couldn't even look at the diapers. he actually ended up throwing up and hiding until we all finished. I would say the highlight of the day was when Jesse's mom, my mother in law came through the door. I was expecting her and it was such a great surprise. she hadn't seen me with a belly at all and i think it meant so much to us both that she got some belly time.
here are photos from that shower!
Jesse's Mom Denise
it's not a baby shower without a baby
this baby (micaiah) is the best baby in the world. i hope Jovi is half as well behaved and cute as her.
even rosie roo got some baby time!
I love that my friends can show up to a baby shower looking this sketchy

we just did a shoot with the talented chyene of fire bird photography. we didb't want your typical maternity photos. you know of me bare belly holding my belly in black and white. not that there is anything wrong with that. it's just not a good representation of who we are. So we went with something a little more colorful and fun
i love these photos! I think they are adorable and suit us perfectly. I cant wait to show them to our daughter
