Yeah, moving right along. Today we met with our new OBGYN doctor. Even though we are planning for a home birth and are using a midwife and doula we still need a back up doctor. My original OBGYN wouldn't continue treatment along side a midwife so we were on the search for a new doctor. I'm pretty confident we found him. Hopefully all goes well, and we won't need to use him anyway, but it's nice to know that i have a great doctor in waiting. Plus I think it's good to see two care givers that way I get two opinions. It isn't however, fun going to so many doctor appointments.
I feel like my days off are so busy with appointments. We also met with our doula this week. She is amazing. I feel so safe with her. She really knows what she is doing and that makes me really confident in her. Its kinda like having a mommy along side me when mine is across the country. I guess most woman use their husbands as their birthing coaches, but i could see that going bad. Jesse would be like "baby you can do this. it's going to be ok." and I would be like, "how do you know? you've never felt this pain!!" haha Not to down play his role. I just think it would be easier to hear it from someone who has had six babies and understands what it feels like.
So baby Jovi is developing perfectly says the doctor. Jovi is growing just the right amount and I'm putting on the right amount of weight. she is kicking more frequently. last night I felt her rolling all over the place like she couldn't get comfy. It was so so adorable. I just pictured her trying to find the perfect spot to lay in. I really jesse could have felt her. He has been feeling her kick too but he hasn't felt her rolling around yet. She also does this cute thing where she poke her head out and i can rub it. AHHH I just want to hold her. I dont have any crazy craving or anything like that. I dont know if that's going to come later but as for now i've been eatting just like i would regularly.
How your baby's growing:
Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long —the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now. Here I am 21 weeks
After we went to the doctors we decided to check out this rad baby store called baby awearness
They have a huge selection of cloth diapers and organic eco friendly products. They also offer several different classes. every thing from how to cloth diaper to toddler hula dancing.
Jesse really likes the idea of using cloth diapers and had pretty much talked me into going that route. So I have been researching them a ton and trying to figure out which brand/ type would match our life style the best, but up in till today I hadn't actually touched one. We were planning on just asking questions and and playing with the diapers but we ended up leaving the store with a whole cloth diaper package.
Baby awearness is planning on raising their prices next week and we didn't want to miss out of their great package deals. So we got 24 pre folds, 4 covers, 6 pocket diapers ( a few different brands to see what we like) and a few other things. they have the cutest patterns and in my opinion are way cuter then disposables. I hope we didn't rush it and can handle it cause now we are all set up.
xoxo
